NASC

The NASC (National Access and Scaffolding Confederation) is recognised as the national trade body for scaffolding in the UK. Its members are strictly regulated and audited to ensure high standards. In order to learn more visit the NASC website at www.nasc.org.uk.

Insurance

We have public liability insurance to £5m and employer liability of £10m. Insurance certificates are available on request.

Training

All our scaffolders are CISRS trained and are registered with the Construction Skills CSCS & CISRS card scheme. The company has an extensive training programme. We have scaffolders trained for L3 City & Guilds confined spaces and confined spaces emergency escape , powered access, alloy towers, manual handling and asbestos awareness. All new employees receive induction training as well as CCNSG health and safety training.

Health & Safety

Health & Safety is of prime importance to our company. As a member of the NASC we have a health & safety charter that we must follow. We keep up to date with all current and incoming legislation through our membership of the NASC and continual management training. We also operate our own quality and health & safety monitoring system which is audited monthly internally and annually by our external health and safety consultants (Safety & Access Ltd). All our operatives are supervised on a daily basis by our supervisor who will make unannounced site visits to carry out a site audit and check the quality of the scaffolding and that operatives are working safely, following training, procedures and health & safety legislation.

Transport

All our vehicles are satellite tracked. This enables us to monitor location of our vehicles 24 hours a day. This also gives us greater flexibility to divert our scaffolding contractors at short notice or complete extra works on other sites in the same area. We are able to provide our clients with live email alerts so they know what time we arrive on site and what time we leave.

Design

We are able to provide full design drawings and calculations for all scaffolds that fall outside the scope of TG20.

Asbestos Works

All our operatives have asbestos awareness training. Also up until 2010 we held a license from the HSE to allow us to erect scaffolds for asbestos removal works. However following the changes to the ACOP (Approved Code of Practice) regarding ancillary works with asbestos, which now allows erection of scaffolding for asbestos removal works without a licence “unless it is foreseeable the asbestos can be disturbed by the works” then a licence is not now required for the majority of asbestos removal works.
